Hon’ble Minister Shri. Shivendra Singh Bhosale Reviews Progress of Satara–Kagal National Highway Project
The Satara–Kagal National Highway project has been scheduled for completion by March 2026, and the State Government is committed to ensuring strict adherence to this timeline. It has been observed that one of the contracting agencies involved in the project is failing to maintain the mandated pace of work.
In view of this, the concerned contractor has been issued a final notice of fifteen days to demonstrate substantial and satisfactory progress. Failure to comply within the stipulated period will result in immediate termination of the contract, in accordance with established government procedures, informed Hon’ble Minister for Public Works (excluding Public Undertakings) Shri. Shivendra Singh Bhosale.
To accelerate project execution, the State Government has already engaged with the Office of the Hon’ble Union Minister. Accordingly, a high-level review meeting on the Satara–Kagal National Highway was held in New Delhi, chaired by Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri. Nitin Gadkari. During the meeting, unequivocal instructions were issued to complete the project on priority, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery, stated Hon’ble Minister Shri. Shivendra Singh Bhosale.
