Hon’ble Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Manisha Patankar Mhaiskar (I.A.S.) reviewed the progress of the Mumbai–Pune Missing Link Project.
The ₹6,695-crore project spans 13.3 km between the Khopoli exit and Kusgaon on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, compared to the original 19 km distance between Lonavala and the Khopoli exit. The project includes Tunnel-I of 1.68 km and Tunnel-II of 8.87 km, with a total tunnel length of 10.55 km, featuring one of the widest road tunnels in the world at 23.50 metres. The viaduct section has a total length of 1.60 km, comprising Viaduct-I (50 m height and 950 m length) and Viaduct-II, a cable-stayed bridge of 184 m height and 650 m length.
