PWD Tree Plantation and Monitoring System has received the Digital Innovation Award at Build Infra 2026.

The Public Works Department (PWD) has been conferred the Digital Innovation Award under the Roads & Highways category at the Build India Infra Awards 2026 for the PWD Tree Plantation and Monitoring App.

This award was received by Shri S. D. Dashpute, Secretary (Roads), Public Works Department, from the Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. This recognition reflects the Department’s commitment to greener, smarter, and future-ready digital innovation.

The Tree Plantation and Monitoring App was developed under the vision and guidance of Shri Shivendrasingh Bhosale, Minister, Public Works Department; Shri Indranil Naik, Minister of State, Public Works Department; Smt. Manisha Patankar-Mhaiskar, I.A.S., Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works Department; Shri Milind Mhaiskar, I.A.S., Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works Department; Shri S. D. Dashpute, Secretary (Roads); and Shri Aabasaheb Nagargoje, Secretary (Works). The objective of this app is to create green corridors along roads across the state and enhance tree plantation efforts.

This recognition reflects the dedicated efforts of the PWD team in advancing digital solutions.
