Hon’ble Smt. Manisha Patankar-Mhaiskar Reviews Progress of Shrikṣetra Tuljabhavani Temple Development Master Plan
On 16 January 2026, Hon’ble Smt. Manisha Patankar-Mhaiskar, I.A.S., Additional Chief Secretary (Public Works Department), reviewed the progress of the Shrikṣetra Tuljabhavani Temple Development Master Plan. The meeting was attended by Shri Pujar, District Collector, Dharashiv; Shri Chavan, Chief Engineer, Public Works Regions, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar; Shri Bhande, Superintending Engineer, Public Works Circle, Dharashiv; along with other concerned officials.
An allocation of ₹1,865 crore has been approved for the comprehensive development of Maharashtra’s revered deity, Goddess Tulja Bhavani Temple, and the town of Tuljapur. The development plan will be undertaken in phases, with the first phase including the proposed installation of a 108-feet tall grand statue on the hill located behind the Ramdara Lake, depicting Goddess Tulja Bhavani blessing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with the Bhavani sword
